Screenshots appearing to show designer Stefano Gabbana making disparaging remarks about China on Instagram circulated online, with Gabbana claiming that his account was hacked in a statement. Video obtained by Reuters showed a man pasting Gabbana's statement on a storefront in Shanghai, as anger over the brand boiled over on social media. "I believe that this kind of brand does not deserve our respect," Edward Gu, CEO of Talentreet, a talent hiring platform, said in a video statement.
